Greg Whitten

Administrator

Greg Whitten has been an administrator in long term care for over 16 years and is currently the Administrator at Rising Star Nursing and Rehab. Greg graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Professions in Healthcare Administration. He has served in many capacities in the nursing home industry throughout his career, including financial oversight, new construction, marketing and promotions including Health Fairs, Senior Olympics, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and 5K runs for local charities. Greg has been active in community organizations including Kiwanis, Rotary, and Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Sandra have a daughter who is attending college at Texas State University in San Marcos. Greg was raised in a small country town and enjoys the quiet life and great people of Rising Star, Cross Plains and the surrounding areas we serve.

Alicia Bacon

Nursing Director

Alicia Bacon is our Director of Nursing. Alicia has lived in Cisco for 20 years. She has been a Director of Nursing in long term care for over two and a half years. She received her nursing degree from Angelo State University. Alicia is married to Cory Bacon and they have a son, Case, and a daughter, Kaylee. When she is not working, Alicia likes to barrel race and spend time with family.

Gwyneth Johnson

Assistant Director of Nursing

Gwyneth Johnson, LVN is our Assistant Director of Nursing. She is a graduate of Cisco High School. She married her husband Randy in 1977 and have been married for 40 years. They have two children, son Chris and daughter Jennifer. Gwyneth began her career as a CNA 43 years ago. She completed her LVN schooling at Cisco Jr. College in 2002. She has worked for Hendrick Medical Center, Home Health Companies and Nursing Homes. She has specialized in wound treatments such as wound vac therapy. Seeing the residents with a smile on their face is why she loves nursing.

Sandra Whitten

Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor

Sandra Whitten is our Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor. She has been employed at Rising Star Nursing and Rehab since October, 2012, having worked in various positions, including Business Office Manager and Human Resources Director. Currently, Sandra assists with HR, payroll and many other functions and is enrolled in the Nutrition and Foodservice Professional Training Program to become a Certified Dietary Manager. She is married to Greg Whitten and they have one daughter, Ashlee, who is enrolled at Texas State University in San Marcos.

Freddy Smoot

Maintenance Supervisor

Freddy has been the Maintenance Supervisor over the Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance departments since 2016. He resides in Cross Plains and is married to wife Rebecca of 14 years and has three children, Ariel, Jocelyn and Racelyn.

Terri Hamilton

Weekend RN Supervisor
Social Services Director

Terri began her professional career as a Petroleum Engineer before finding her passion in healthcare. She has been an Registered Nurse for over 20 years and a Licensed Social Worker for 12 years. She is a devoted Christian and loves following in her grandmother's footsteps with gardening, baking, and canning.Terri loves caring for "her little piece of Texas dirt", her array of farm animals, and her two spoiled dogs. She stays busy these days with her three foster children who are the joy of her world.

Guyle P. Donham, D.O.

Medical Director

Guyle P. Donham, DO, is our Medical Director. He specializes in family practice with his offices at the Comanche Count Medical Center. His Bachelor’s Degree was earned while attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas. After graduation he earned his medical degree from the University Of Health Science College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. His residency was completed in Corpus Christi. Dr. Donham is a member of Sigma Signa Phi and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and is Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. Donham grew up in May, Texas and currently resides in Stephenville, Texas with his wife, Rachelle and two boys, Ryan and Rhett. He enjoys camping, farming organic peanuts, scuba diving and watching sports, particularly cheering for the Baylor Bears. On a typical weekend Dr. Donham is farming, working, traveling, or going to his sons events.

Dr. Donham has been practicing as a family physician at Comanche County Medical Center for over 9 years.

Molly Brooks Gray, D.O., M.S.

Molly Brooks Gray, DO, MS has been practicing Family Medicine since 2011 in De Leon and Brownwood. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr Gray completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Parkland - Dallas in 2011. She received a Doctor of Osteopathy in 2008 from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. She has a Master in Clinical Research Management from UNTHSC and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas Christian University. Dr Gray resides near Comanche with her husband, Alan and has 4 adult children. She has 8 and counting grandchildren. She enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
